LIVE MUSIC Grace Honeywell (USA) and Jeri Foreman of (AUS – of The Fountaineers Band), are both musicians who have traveled extensively and performed all over the world. Growing up playing Scottish fiddle tunes and gaining national touring experience with their hometown bluegrass bands, they are now collaborating in Scotland for a series of special duo shows highlighting traditional bluegrass and original folk americana music.
Expect multi-instrumentalism, rich harmonies, double fiddle features, dynamic original music and lyricism, and a unique show of musicianship.
WORKSHOP Join Us for a Bluegrass Workshop for Beginners and Intermediate: Saturday 16th November, 2-3pm at Eckford Village Hall

Eckford Village Library Cafe The Eckford Village Hall Library Cafe is discontinued until September 2025.
The Eckford Library Cafe is hosted by volunteers and runs in conjunction with the Scottish Borders Council Library Bus stopping in Eckford. The cafe is open to all with a selection of biscuits and/or cake or homemade tray bake. £3 per person (as of 2024).

About the Band
Shooglenifty was formed in 1990 by musicians from the Scottish Highlands, Orkney and Edinburgh. Its bright spark was the idea of fusing traditional and traditional-sounding melodies with the beats and basslines of a mixed bag of more contemporary influences.
As happy playing a small highland village hall as they are on an outdoor festival stage playing to tens of thousands, the Shoogles (as they’re known to their fans) have promoted Scottish music all over the world for three decades.

Join us for this special evening of acoustic live music with emerging artists from Glasgow, The Fountaineers Bluegrass Band. A Scottish group with roots in American Bluegrass and Traditional Scottish music. This young band formed during the summer of 2020 and have been going from strength to strength since.
